U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik was elected in November 2014 to serve New York's 21st district. She was the youngest woman elected to Congress, at the age of 30, until the election of 29-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2018.

Stefanik was born on July 2, 1984, in Albany, New York. She graduated from Harvard University and has held several positions since, including director of communications for the Foreign Policy Initiative and policy director for former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty's presidential campaign. Stefanik also worked in the West Wing during President George W. Bush's administration. Most recently, Stefanik helped manage her family's company, Premium Plywood Products Inc.
