Madeline Hildebrandt, a professor at Central New Mexico Community College, was a 2018 candidate for New Mexico’s 2nd District in the U.S. House of representatives, but lost in the primary.

Hildebrandt was born in New Mexico in 1961. She earned her Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in individual studies in history from Columbia College at Treasure Island Naval Station, her Master of Arts in history from San Francisco State University, and her Ph.D. in history from the University of Maine. After finishing her studies, Hildebrandt served in the United States Coast Guard and before becoming a professor.
