Biography
Betsy Sweet was a 2020 Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from Maine, losing in the primary. She was also a candidate for governor of Maine in the 2018 election, losing in the primary.
Sweet received a Master of Arts in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica in 2009. She is the founder and principal of Moose Ridge Associates, lobbying and advocacy firms in Augusta, Maine. Prior to founding Moose Ridge Associates, Sweet was the director of the Maine Women's Lobby and the Maine Commission for Women. In 2009, Sweet established SweetSpirit, a spiritual healing clinic.
