Rebecca Kleefisch served as Wisconsin's lieutenant governor from 2011-2019. She was a candidate in the 2022 Wisconsin gubernatorial election, losing in the primary.

Born in Michigan on August 7, 1975, Kleefisch was raised in northwestern Ohio. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism, and was a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society.

In 1997, Kleefisch reported for then-CBS affiliate, WIFR-TV in Rockford, Illinois. In 1999, she moved to Wisconsin to work for the Milwaukee ABC affiliate, WISN-TV, and was promoted to the morning anchor in 2002. After the birth of her first daughter, Kleefisch retired from television news to start her own media and marketing company. Her first political campaign was when she ran with gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker in 2010. In 2022, she ran for governor of Wisconsin, losing in the primary.
