Nan Hayworth served in the United States House of Representatives for New York's 19th District from 2011 to 2012.

Hayworth was born December 14, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, and was raised in Munster, Indiana. She graduated from Princeton University summa cum laude in biology in 1981 and from Cornell University Medical College in 1985. Following college, Hayworth worked as an instructor and assistant clinical professor for the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She also worked as an ophthalmologist in her own practice for 16 years and was an attending physician at Northern Westchester Hospital.
