Karoline Leavitt ran for election to the U.S. House to represent New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District in 2022, losing in the general election.

Leavitt was born on August 24, 1998, in New Hampshire. Coming from a business-orientated family, Leavitt began working at her family’s small business at a young age. This would be the stepping stone into her positionality within politics.

Leavitt graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2019, earning a degree in politics and communication. She spent time volunteering at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics while she was earning her undergraduate degree. As a student during the 2016 election, she began working for Fox News.

After graduating, she worked for former president Donald Trump and served as a presidential writer and assistant press secretary in the press office.
