Haley Stevens assumed office as U.S. representative for Michigan's 11th Congressional District on Jan. 3, 2019.

Stevens was born on June 24, 1983. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in social policy and philosophy from American University. She worked in the Obama administration as chief of staff for the Auto Task Force inside the U.S. Department of Treasury. She was involved in setting up the Office of Recovery for Automotive Communities and Workers and the White House Office of Manufacturing Policy. Most recently, she worked for the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute in Chicago.
