Elizabeth Heng was a 2018 Republican nominee for California’s 16th Congressional District, losing to incumbent Jim Costa in the general election. In 2022, she also ran unsuccessfully in a special election to the U.S. House to represent California's 22nd Congressional District.

Heng was born and raised in Fresno, California. She earned a BA in Political Science and Economics from Stanford University and an MBA in Sustainability Studies from Yale. She began her professional career in politics with the Oregon Republican Party in 2010 and has continued it through her role as Chief of Protocol and Member Outreach of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the United States House of Representatives from 2013-2017.

Heng also has experience working in Washington as a press and legislative assistant in the United States House of Representatives, which she hopes will help her in her 2018 campaign.
