Diane Mitsch Bush was the 2020 Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives for Colorado's 3rd District. She was also the 2018 Democratic nominee for the that seat, losing to incumbent Scott Tipton.

Mitsch Bush earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology in 1975 and Ph.D. in sociology and social policy in 1979 from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has worked as a research assistant for the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota, a small business proprietor in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and an assistant professor of sociology and social science. She served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017, resigning to campaign for the U.S. House.
