Diane Harkey is a member of the California State Board of Equalization. She was a 2018 Republican nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives for California's 49th District, but lost in the general election.

Harkey was born June 20, 1951 in Joliet, Illinois. She has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California, Irvine. She has had a 30-year career in corporate banking and finance.

Harkey was elected to the Dana Point (California) City Council in 2004, and served as its mayor in 2007. In 2008, she was elected to the California State Assembly. Term-limited in the State Assembly in 2014, she won a seat on the California State Board of Equalization.
