Betty S. Sutton is a judge of the Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals and assumed office on February 9, 2021. Her term ends on February 8, 2027. Formerly she represented Ohio's 13th District in the House of Representatives from 2007 - 2013.

Sutton was born July 31, 1963, in Barberton, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University in 1985 and her Juris Doctorate at the University of Akron in 1990.

Prior to serving in Congress, Sutton served on the Barberton City Council from 1991 to 1992. Following, she served on the Summit County Council, and during her second year on the County Council, she was elected by her peers as the vice president of the council. From 1993 to 2000, Sutton served in the Ohio State House of Representatives.

Sutton lost her 2012 re-election campaign after being redistricted to the 16th District. In July 2013, she was appointed administrator of the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, the government-owned corporation that operates and maintains the U.S. portion of the St. Lawrence Seaway between the Port of Montreal and Lake Erie.
