Jennifer Wexton

Jennifer Wexton assumed office as the U.S. representative for Virginia's 10th Congressional District on Jan. 3, 2019. Previously, Wexton represented the 33rd District in the Virginia State Senate from 2014 to 2019.

Wexton was born on May 27, 1968, in Washington, D.C. Her father and mother were senior economists at the United States Department of the Treasury and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, respectively. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary School of Law. Wexton is a partner in The Laurel Brigade Law Group. Prior to her election to the Virigina State Senate, she served as a substitute judge in Loudoun County, Virginia, and as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney.
