VIGNARAJAH: Maryland has tried 62 governors. Yet none have been women. There are no women in statewide or federal office in Maryland. None. This isn't just about representation, it's about policy. States with women in government have better schools, better healthcare, lower incarceration rates. I want all of that for Maryland. My parents came to this country with $200 and I grew up to be Policy Director for Michelle Obama. I will never let a kid go to our schools hungry or without health care. I will never prioritize new jails over stronger schools because my parents taught in those schools for 40 years. I will never allow kids to shiver in freezing classrooms because any one of those kids could be mine. And I will never forget that education is what made my life from Woodlawn High to the White House possible. Some say no man can be Larry Hogan… Well, I'm no man. I'm a mom. I'm a woman. And I want to be your next governor.
