Climate Change is Here - April 2, 2018

EASTIN: To live in California is to love California. Our towering redwoods, legendary beaches, majestic mountains, and vibrant cities and towns. It's no secret, however, that climate change is beginning to take its toll on our great state. Droughts, floods, fires, and record-breaking temperatures are wreaking havoc. Scientists are telling us that the time to prevent even more devastating effects is running out. Fortunately, Californians have demonstrated their commitment to taking the lead on climate change and new innovative ways to stabilize climate change in the next 10 years are within our reach. I'm Delaine Eastin. I will work every day to protect our state, our environment, and our people. Bringing the best science and know-how to the task of stabilizing our climate because combating climate change is the right thing to do for jobs, businesses, growth, and the economy, for our families and communities and for our future.
