Standing with President Trump - January 9, 2018

BLACKBURN: The President laid out a very aggressive agenda and the American people are expecting something to be done. They are sick of what is happening in Washington DC, and yes, they do want the swamp to be drained. And Donald Trump came out and said, “Look this is what we need to do in order to make America great again,” and isn't that what people want? He said, “getting the Affordable Care Act off-the-book; providing tax relief for middle-income earners and hardworking taxpayers; making certain that we secure the border and address the issues of immigration; and rebuilding our nation's crumbling infrastructure.” And it is imperative that we get more conservatives in Congress to help him make good on those promises because it's what the American people wanted. It is what they voted for. They're saying, “Come on, Congress. Get with it get some things on- on the floor; take a vote; get it to his desk; let him sign it or reject it, but let's get the work done.”
