GILLIBRAND: As one of the only young mothers serving in the Senate, standing up for women and families is personal. It's why I'm making Congress focus on issues like childhood obesity, asthma and autism rates, why I'm fighting for the new law that finally guarantees women equal pay for equal work, and why I successfully fought to make sure private employees can't restrict your access to birth control. I'm Kirsten Gillibrand, and I approve this message, because if 51 percent of Congress were women, we wouldn't be debating contraception. We'd be debating jobs and the economy.
