Fighting for New York - Aug. 15, 2011

GILLIBRAND: As a working mother, I understand the way working families and working parents struggle every day. We are facing challenges like we have not seen in generations. Millions of workers have lost their jobs through absolutely no fault of their own. It's about fairness, it's about opportunity, and that is what I’m fighting for every single day. I want to see "Made in America" again. I believe that leadership is knowing when to take action. And we can do this, by rebuilding New York's economy. We can lead the way with high tech and biotech, renewable energy and green jobs. Through new infrastructure investments, like high-speed rail and rural broadband and new healthcare IT and a new electric grid. This is all about who we fight for. And I will take a backseat to no-one when it comes to fighting for New York.
