ANNOUNCER: Her story of long odds started here. Married young, Wendy was a single mom by nineteen, while working two jobs. A brochure inspired her to try community college. With the help of scholarships, Wendy went on to TCU the first college graduate in her family. Next came Harvard Law School, an impossible dream realized. Now as our state senator, Wendy fought politicians who slashed billions from Texas schools.
