ANNOUNCER: This is the story of deception, dishonesty and raw political ambition. It's LuAnn Bennett story. Around 2004, Bennett married former congressman Jim Moran and moved to Arlington County. Two-and-a-half years ago LuAnn Bennett announced she was moving to Washington, DC, on her own Facebook page. Bennett had purchased this Ritz-Carlton condo just a few months before. Bennett moved in, decorated her new home and put up these personal pictures. LuAnn Bennett's mortgage agreement confirmed her new home was her legitimate residence. The mortgage agreement stated that the apartment had to be for her exclusive use and enjoyment at all times. Then the deception began. While Bennett was living in Washington, DC, she decided to run for Congress in Virginia. Bennett deleted her Facebook post, claimed she never lived in Washington and temporarily rented a house in McLean, Virginia. Her new rental was conveniently located in Virginia's 10th District, where she hadn't lived for over 10 years. What about Bennett's home in Washington, DC? Bennett now claims her DC home was a business property, but that would be in clear violation of her mortgage agreement. Is LuAnn Bennett committing mortgage fraud? Did Bennett fail to pay Washington, DC, income taxes while living in Washington? Is LuAnn Bennett lying about where she lived, lying about her Washington, DC, mortgage? LuAnn Bennett -- deception, dishonesty and raw political ambition.
