MURKOWSKI: I am so please to be back with you, yet again, for the 2016 AFN Convention, our family reunion. I think that’s how we all feel. Of people coming together from around the state. I thank you for your warmth, for the hospitality, and truly for the love that you have shared with me. As I have visited in your homes, out at your fish camps, in your communities. We speak in different languages and in different ways, and sometimes that’s through dance, and sometimes that’s through arts, sometimes that is through spirituality or fellowship, but it’s truly what makes AFN so special.
