Biography
Susan Davis served in the United States House of Representatives for California's 49th Congressional District and then the 53rd District from 2001-2021.
Davis was born April 13, 1944, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of California, Berkley with a degree in sociology and earned a master's degree in social work from the University of North Carolina.
In 1983, Davis was elected to the San Diego Unified Board of Education, a position she held until 1992. From 1994 to 2000, Davis served in the California State Assembly, where she focused on education, health care, and consumer protection.
