REPORTER 3: Today, small business owner Rebecca Cooke announced her bid to represent the third congressional district in the U.S House of Representatives.

REPORTER 4: Cooke was raised on a dairy farm in Eau Claire and appointed by Governor Tony Evers to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

REPORTER 5: And described herself as a candidate who will fight for the middle class.

REPORTER 6: Cooke touted her experience in fighting for rural communities.

REPORTER 7: This is Cooke's second bid for Wisconsin's third congressional district.

REPORTER 8: The small business owner won a majority of counties in last year's primary.

REPORTER 9: She won Eau Claire County in the 2022 primary election cycle.

COOKE: I would take what I learned growing up on a farm: that when things are tough, you don't give up, and, you know, show up and listen.
