Nancy Dahlstrom assumed office as lieutenant governor of Alaska on Dec. 5, 2022.

Dahlstrom was born on August 13,1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, and was raised in Eagle River, Alaska. She attended Wayland Baptist University where she earned a degree in human services. She would go onto earning her master's degree from the University of LaVerne. Dahlstrom held many managerial positions and was a support specialist and sales representative before entering the political realm.

Dahlstrom served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 2003-2010. She was later appointed as senior military affairs advisor for the governor from 2010-2018 and served as commissioner of the Alaska Department of Corrections from 2018-2022.
