TSONGAS: To a soldier, body armor can make the difference between life and death. So when our soldiers in Afghanistan told me they would actually take theirs off because it was too heavy, I knew I had to do something about it. That's why I took action and wrote the law to find a safe body armor that weighs less and fits better.
