TLAIB: I’m the eldest of fourteen, grew up in a UAW home, and Detroit raised me. In Wayne County, we are strong, hardworking, and loving. We cherish our diversity. We are frontline communities that always fight back against corporate greed, structural racism, and bullies who try to hold us back. This is where movements are born. We never back down, especially from those who tell us we don’t deserve better. We believe that clean air and clean water are human rights. And we believe in quality education. We believe in a just and fair immigration system. We believe in racial justice in the fight to destroy systems that are killing our neighbors, we believe in universal healthcare, and we believe that we must end poverty that continues to tear apart our communities.

Those who are driven by hate and greed messed with the wrong district because the thirteenth raised a congresswoman who won’t back down, and I’m not done yet. I’m rooted in community; I will always stand up to bullies and speak the truth. I will never back down when it comes to working for you.
