MEGAN KLING: So, we have Greta that's four and Elma that's two. The little spitfires.

COOKE: Tell me about the day that you first found out about Nolan's birth defect.

KLING: Everything was normal, up until my 20-week ultrasound. I learned no matter what, my baby would not survive. Sam and I were born and raised in Wisconsin. This is our home, and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I did not have the choice to do what was right for me and my family in my home state, and that felt very deeply wrong to me.

COOKE: yeah.

KLING: To think that there's a possibility of a national abortion ban scares me to death. I am a conservative; I live and work in a conservative community. I don't trust Derrick van Orden to make decisions around my medical care.

COOKE: I know.

KLING: Period.

COOKE: Derrick van Orden and his extreme positions around reproductive freedoms are why I'm running for Congress. I'm Rebecca Cooke and I approve this message.
