MUCARSEL-POWELL: He'd strip away women's rights with a national abortion ban. He cuts taxes for himself but he'd raise them on you. He wrote the plan that could take away the Social Security and Medicare you worked and paid for. And he's gotten tens of millions of dollars richer, while so-called serving the people.

But our costs for prescriptions, health insurance, homeowners insurance have all gone up but what do we expect from the CEO of a company that made a fortune robbing Medicare?

Ya no màs.

I'm ready to do something about it. I'm an immigrant, a Latina, a mother, and we made history together when I became the first South American immigrant ever elected to Congress. I've already fought guys like Rick Scott and beat them.

I wrote the Bill to expand Medicare, not take it away. Because I know my mom and so many others depend on it. I lost my own father to gun violence, that's why I fight every day to keep our children and our community safe. And I'm not afraid to take on Rick Scott, or anyone that doesn't put Florida first.

I worked for minimum wage in a donut shop so I know how great this country is and how great it can be, and that's why I won't sit here and do nothing while Rick Scott gets rich abusing our government, taking our rights, raising our costs, and destroying what makes it great: the ability for any one of us, no matter where we come from – even a minimum wage earning South American immigrant – to reach our dreams if we work for them.

My name is Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. They call me D.M.P., which stands for don't mess with my people. And that means you, Rick Scott. That's why I'm running for Senate.
