SLOTKIN: I have been thinking a lot lately about what leadership means and what citizenship means. Instead of people who are promoting reaching out to others in the community, we have people who are reaching out and trying to split people apart. It will be a different generation of elected officials that change the culture of Congress that actually say to people, “you deserve better than what you have.” I believe that if there's ever a moment for that generational change it is now. It is this moment.
