HALLQUIST: Power. For the past 20 years, I brought power to the people of northern Vermont as an engineer for the largest locally owned electric utility in our state. Over my decades of service to our citizens owners, I transformed the co-op into a national leader in renewable energy. I created high-paying, 21st century, green jobs, and I introduced innovative technologies that brought power to Vermonters in a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly way. Now I'm running for governor to bring power to all the people of Vermont. When we Vermonters team up for our common good, we can deliver more and better services without raising costs. That's exactly what we need to do to strengthen our schools, fight income inequality, achieve universal health care and extend high-speed Internet to every person and business in our state.
