SIMON: A bowtie was my dad’s trademark. His legacy was honesty and integrity. I’m Sheila Simon. On the Reform Commission I fought for tougher ethics laws. As comptroller, I’ll bring a new era of transparency and accountability. Judy Baar Topinka’s been in Springfield thirty years. She voted to increase her own pension then double dipped, taking about a $500,000 pension while still collecting a public salary. Thirty years of the same old politics won’t change Springfield - honest reform will.
