HEITKAMP: I grew up in big family, in a small town. Some people don’t think it’s much, but it is home. Mom was a school janitor. Dad never finished high school. He used to work out on these roads. And they believed in us. All seven kids went to college. I worked my way through on a road construction crew. I’m Heidi Heitkamp, and I approve this message because Washington can learn from places like North Dakota—and they’ll get to hear that from me.
