ASKIN'S MOTHER: I think Jari should be the lieutenant governor. Not only because she's my daughter, but because even if she weren't I would be voting for her and I would be out working for her and her campaign. She's honest, she's truthful. She looks you right square in the eye and then...and talks with you. She thinks, well, what is good for the people, not what's good for me. That's what we need in government. We need people who work for the people, not for themselves.
