HARTZLER: It matters who wins elections. They change the direction our nation takes. They determine how well our tax dollars are spent, whether new job-killing taxes are passed, and if, as individuals, we and our family grow stronger and freer, or whether the government grows ever bigger and more controlling. The almanac of American politics called the victory you helped me win over a 17 term incumbent congressman one of the biggest upsets in 2010. Thank you again for your support. We prevailed in 2010 in spite of being outspent by more than two to one. Many said it couldn't be done. You and I knew better. That's why the national Democrats are after revenge this year in Missouri's 4th district. They want another vote to make Nancy Pelosi speaker and another vote for the failed policies of the Obama administration that are bankrupting our country and leaving us vulnerable to threats from abroad. We must not let them succeed. Winning does matter. It has meant I've been able to deliver to Washington your much needed voice and vote for new jobs, freedom, faith, family and common sense. It's been an honor and a privilege. I said I'd go to Washington to fix what's broken. That's what I'm doing. I thank you for your past support and encourage you to once again partner with me as we seek to continue to fight for the change in direction our country needs.
