MAN 1: No matter where you live in the state, when you wake up and walk outside of your house, you know there's something up here that's insulting you. And now, it's just a new beginning.

WOMAN green: The flag coming down -- it finally gives us a sense of freedom.

MAN 2: It is a big step for it to come down, so we can start healing wounds.

WOMAN 2: Race is still a fault line in America, even if it's not intentional.

WOMAN 3: There is so much more that needs to be done. And you know, hopefully this is a start.

WOMAN 2: The next steps are for people to continue to have conversations about wages, poverty...

MAN 1: Prison reform.

WOMAN 4: Gun violence prevention.

MAN 3: Jobs programs.

WOMAN 3: Education is key.

WOMAN 2: The flag coming is a symbol like, Hey, we're ready to have this conversation.

WOMAN 3: Lots of work to be done. But it starts with one. It starts with one person. It starts with you.

MAN 1: We've just got to keep moving forward.
