ROS-LEHTINEN: I'm Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. Some people forget who they work for but I never have. As your congresswoman, I am fighting to get our economy back on track. I voted to help Keys families with troubled mortgages, to extend unemployment assistance and to raise the minimum wage. I support policies to help bring down the price at the pump by increasing our investment in alternative energy and expanding incentives for energy efficient cars and homes. I voted to establish a national catastrophe fund to prevent skyrocketing insurance rates, and I support expanding coverage to include wind damage. I have a bill to improve our hurricane tracking abilities so that Keys families are protected from unnecessary and costly evacuations.
