FARENTHOLD: Are you tired of facing ever-increasing sales taxes? I am. I'm Frances Farenthold, and I would appreciate your vote for governor. In 1969, Barnes wanted a sales tax on groceries. The way to avoid another rise in sales tax or a tax on groceries is to elect people who will tax big business interests. I'm the only major candidate for governor who is not committed to those big business interests who should be taxed.
