FARENTHOLD: I'm Frances Farenthold, and I would appreciate your vote for governor. Look at the record of my opponents. Barnes passed the sales tax on groceries through the Senate in '69. Then in '71 he passed a 2-cent a gallon increase in the gasoline tax. I voted to kill both these Barnes taxes. Briscoe offers no change – he is big business. Smith's quick stock profits speak for themselves. We can do better. If you agree, I would appreciate your vote for governor.
