Sara Jacobs ran for California’s 49th Congressional District in the 2018 elections, but she lost in the primaries.
Jacobs was born in Encinitas, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Columbia University and her Master of Arts in international relations and affairs from Columbia University. In 2011 she became a Peacekeeping/Development employee for the United Nations and then an Innovation Unit employee for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund in 2013. In 2014 she became the Conflict and Stabilization Policy Officer for the United States Department of State and in 2016 became a policy advisor for Hillary for America.
Jacobs was most recently the CEO of Project Connect in 2017, before her congressional campaign.
