Susie Wiles became White House chief of staff on January 20, 2025. She is the first woman to serve in that the role.

Wiles was born on May 14, 1957, in New Jersey. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland. She began her career in the political realm by working for a New York congressman Jack Kemp. Wiles then worked on Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign before becoming a scheduler in his administration. She has worked for a number of elected officials at the municipal, state and federal level, including as campaign manager, advisor and chief of staff.

In 2011, Wiles joined Ballard Partners as a lobbyist. After the 2020 election, Wiles served as chief executive officer of Save America Leadership PAC, a political action committee associated with then-former president Donald Trump. In 2022, she joined Mercury Public Affairs, working in lobbying. In 2023, Wiles joined Donald Trump's campaign team as co-campaign manager.
