Meghan McCain is a television personality, columnist, and author. She was co-host of "The View," an ABC News contributor and political analyst, from 2017-2021. She is the daughter of U.S. senator and 2008 presidential candidate John McCain.

McCain was born on October 23, 1984, in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her bachelor's degree in art history from Columbia University.

Originally intending to became a music journalist, McCain completed internships at Newsweek and “Saturday Night Live” after college. During her father’s 2008 presidential campaign, she wrote a blog about her experiences on the campaign trail and other subjects. In 2009 she became a contributing writer for The Daily Beast, and in 2011, began appearing as a contributor on MSNBC. In July 2015, McCain joined Fox News as a contributor, and was named co-host of the program "Outnumbered" in November 2016. From 2015 until 2017, she was also a host of the nationally syndicated radio program "America Now." In October 2017, she became a co-host on "The View."
