Biography

Maggie Goodlander assumed office as the U.S. representative for New Hampshire’s 2nd U.S. Congressional District on January 3, 2025.

Goodlander was born on November 4, 1986, in Nashua, New Hampshire. She attended Yale University and served for 10 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves as a counterintelligence officer. Afterwards, she earned a JD from Yale Law School and clerked for the U.S. Supreme Court. She taught constitutional law at the University of New Hampshire and Dartmouth. 

Goodlander has served as the deputy assistant attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she was a council on the impeachment of then-President Donald Trump. She has also worked as a senior advisor to the White House during the Biden administration. This is her first campaign for political office.
