Kim Myers was the 2016 Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives for New York's 22nd Congressional District, but lost in the general election.
Myers was born and raised in Binghamton, New York. After graduating from SUNY Cortland, Myers returned home to work in her family's business, Dick's Sporting Goods. She developed a children's clothing department within Dick's and started her own small business, Kids Korner Inc., a children's clothing and educational toy store in Binghamton.
Myers served for 18 years on the Vestal Central School District Board of Education, eight of those years as president. Following her service on the school board, Myers served in the Broome County Legislature.
