Biography

Kelda Roys has served as a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing District 26, since January 4, 2021. Roys previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2009-2013. She was a 2018 Democratic candidate for governor of Wisconsin. 

Roys was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, on June 24, 1979. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from New York University and her Juris Doctor from University of Wisconsin, Madison. During and after law school, she worked for a variety of domestic and international law firms and as a real estate agent. She is the CEO and founder of OpenHomes, a real estate brokerage.
