Kathy Manning was the 2018 Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives for North Carolina's 13th Congressional District, losing to incumbent Ted Budd.
Manning earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan. After serving as a partner at a law firm for 16 years, Manning left to start her own small business. She has also held numerous leadership positions in her community.
