Biography
Kari Lake was the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate to represent Arizona in the 2024 race, losing in the general election.
Lake was born on August 23, 1969, in Rock Island, Illinois, but grew up in Iowa. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from the University of Iowa in 1991. Lake began her career by working as a news anchor for Fox10 News in Phoenix, and also owned a small business.
She ran for governor in Arizona in 2022 but was defeated.
