Joyce Craig was the Democratic nominee for New Hampshire in the 2024 gubernatorial election.

Craig was born on March 30, 1967 in Manchester, New Hampshire. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire, before serving on the Manchester Board of School Committee from 2008 to 2014.

In 2018, Craig was elected as the first female mayor of Manchester, New Hampshire, defeating Republican incumbent Theodore Gatsas. She served in this position from 2018 to 2024, when she announced her plan to run for governor. Craig was defeated in the general election, losing to Kelly Ayotte.
