Jackie Walorski assumed office as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 2nd Congressional District in January 2013.

Walorski was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. She attended Riley High School in South Bend and graduated with a BA from Taylor University, also in Indiana. She started her career as a reporter at WSBT-TV and later worked as a development director to raise funds for local colleges and universities.

Walorski was also elected to three terms in the Indiana House of Representatives. She rose quickly to leadership becoming the assistant floor leader for the Republican Caucus.
