HIRONO: I have always been a fighter, but I was never noisy about it. I realize now that it's important for so many people in the country to hear a voice like mine. To make a difference for people for people who often don't have much of a voice. I never forget where I came from, and I have a deep appreciation and a thankfulness for this country.
