Jennifer Kiggans is a member of the U.S. House, representing Virginia's 2nd Congressional District.

Kiggans was born in Tampa, Florida, on June 18, 1971. She earned a bachelor's degree in international relations from Boston University in 1993, a B.S.N. from Old Dominion University in 2011, and an M.S.N. from Vanderbilt University in 2012. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1993 to 2003.

Before beginning her service in the U.S. Navy, she taught English in public high schools in Matsuyama, Japan. She then served for ten years in the U.S. Navy, completing two deployments to the Persian Gulf as an H-46 and H-3 helicopter pilot. Her career experience includes serving as a naval aviator helicopter pilot from 1994 to 2003 and working as an adult-geriatric nurse practitioner beginning in 2012. She currently serves as a primary care provider for a small private practice in Virginia Beach.

She is a recipient of the Boston University Scarlet Key Award for exceptional leadership. She has been associated with several societies, including but not limited to the American Geriatrics Society, Virginia Geriatrics Society, and The American Legion Post 110.
