STEFANIK: My name is Elise Stefanik. I'm proud to say I was born and raised in Upstate New York. Growing up in a small business family, I learned the values of hard work and humility, and I've been blessed with many opportunities in my life. I was the first in my family to graduate from college and I had the opportunity to make a difference in Washington. I know that my parents are proud that they instilled the values of Upstate New York in me to remember along the way.

I chose to return home to the North Country to be close with my family and help grow our small business. I've seen firsthand how insiders in Washington have forgotten to fight for average small businesses like ours on Main Street. I want to change that. I want to listen to each and every Upstate New Yorker to hear your common-sense solutions to our country's problems. We need to repeal and replace Obamacare so that you are in charge of your healthcare and not the government.

I'm running for Congress because Washington needs to be reminded of the American dream: the idea that if you work hard, dream big, you can accomplish anything. I believe we need new leadership because we deserve results.
